Craps has become one of the most popular casino games over the last 20 years or so. There are several reasons for its popularity, including the excitement of rolling dice and experiencing unpredictable outcomes. Craps has been growing steadily since its introduction, and today there are over 6,000 casinos around the globe offering the game. This article will be giving you a few tips on how to play craps online in 2021.
What is Craps?
Before we go any further, it’s important that you understand exactly what craps is. It is an exciting table-based gambling game. The object of the game is to roll a pair of six-sided dice, commonly known as the “dice”. When you are at a live craps table, this happens after each bet is placed by players sitting at other tables. The goal of the game is to have the highest possible point total when your final two rolls come up. If you happen to get all six numbers rolled, then you win big. It can also be possible not to win anything at all, due to the house edge (or advantage) built into the game.
Craps Rules
The rules of craps vary from place to place, but they usually involve four stages: Setup, Roll, Come, and Wager. The first three rounds are referred to as “shooting”, while the fourth round is called “the pass line”. All bets are made prior to the start of the game, except for “pass lines” and “don’t pass lines” which must be wagered before each shot is taken. The winning number is determined entirely by luck – the payout percentage is extremely low on average. In most cases, the only way to win money is if you roll a 7 or 11 twice in a row.
The Setup Round
This is where things begin. Each player places their wagers on a designated spot on the felt. At times, more than one person may bet at once. Most people do not worry much about how much is bet, just make sure that both sides of the equation come out even in terms of betting. For example, if someone wins 3 points, then there should be no penalty for losing the same amount. The dealer sets the starting point of the dice down between them and the croupier. After this step, the game begins with the roll.
Rolling the Dice
It is now time to roll the dice. To do this, the croupier will call out the name of the shooter, and he/she holds the die in front of him/her. Once the shooter gets the cue, they toss the die towards the floor. A typical turn would include rolling the dice twice, and then setting the dice back down between the shooter and the croupier; this process is repeated until either the seven or eleven appears. After the initial roll, everyone watches to see if anyone likes playing the odds and wants to continue. You don’t need to wait for the dealer to tell you whether or not you want to keep going. Players who choose to stay will simply repeat the steps above and shoot again.
Craps Tables
There are three main types of craps tables. These differ according to the type of wagering method being used. One of the most common methods is called “Single Action Points”. This is the basic method used for American roulette. Here, every action adds to your score, so you could end up with $250+ worth of points in a matter of seconds. Another form of single-action game uses “Multiple Action Points”. With this method, the players receive bonus points for hitting certain combinations, such as 1234 or 1789. Last but not least, the third version uses “Double Action Points”. Each double-action roll contributes equally to your score, so it can take much longer to reach significant totals. While these methods are easy to use, they aren’t the safest ways to play craps online.
Don’t Pass Lines
When you make a bet, you have an option available to you known as a “Don’t Pass Line Bet”. This can be done during any stage of the game, including after the shooting phase has begun. If the player chooses to “DNP”, they can put all their money behind a specific number on the board (usually on the pass line). They cannot change their mind and switch back later. However, if the DNP number does appear, then the player will get nothing. It doesn’t matter what happens on the six-sider, because you won’t get anything.
Pass Line Bets
If a player places a “pass line bet”, then they are indicating they want to place all their bets on a particular number on the table (or series of numbers) called the “pass line”. There is an array of different numbers along the pass line, from 2 through 9. All bets based on hits are placed on the first two spots, so a player might say “10, red hot 7”. This means that they are willing to risk 10 units for the chance of winning 7 units. In reality, they could lose 10 units too. The point is, when they hit the first 7, they will win 10 units plus whatever was already written on the bet itself.
